Quantum Health Great Nordeen XC Ski and Fat Bike Race is Sunday January 27, 2019.

The Quantum Health Great Nordeen, the largest Cross Country race in Central Oregon, is again having a Fat Bike Division for 2019 and this year it’s an OBRA sanctioned this year! The January 27th event runs from Mt. Bachelor to Wanoga Snow Park on Deschutes National Forest trails.

The Great Nordeen is a 30k and 18k cross country ski race in its 17th year. All skiers age 15 and younger must race 18km.

The XC race starts at 7:30am in front of the West Village Lodge at Mt. Bachelor and descends to Wanoga Snow Park. The Fat Bike division starts at 9:00am and will be a 15k event starting from Mt. Bachelor’s Sunrise Lodge and follows the same route as the 18k skiers.

Transportation provided back to Mt. Bachelor from Wanoga Snow Park.

Following the race at 1:00pm, WebSkis will host an awards party, at 5157 NW Franklin Avenue. There will be free Deschutes Brewery beer, soda and appetizers for all participants.

Course groomed for freestyle race (sorry, no classic track).
$40 entry fee, online registration ends midnight Thursday January 24. Race fee increases to $50 on January 18. No day of race registration.

Correct T-Shirt size cannot be guaranteed for any registrations after noon on Monday, January 14.

No need for seeding requests, there is adequate room at the start.

Bib Pickup will be Saturday January 26 from 3pm-6:00pm at WebSkis, 157 NW Franklin Avenue.
